“After spending 5 days at Tucan lodge, I can only recommend it! It was perfect from the beginning to the end. The accommodation is all new, very clean and comfortable. The food is really good. The staff is the best, they are sooooo nice. The guide Gilver know Cuyabeno wildlife like the back of his hand, he has so much knowledge to share about it.
It was truly a blast to be there, and I have to say this few days were some of the best out of my 4months traveling in South America.
I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!“

“My stay at Tucan Lodge was brilliant! Our guide, Gilver was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and I think we saw a lot more than other groups because of his expertise and patience. We saw a Harpy Eagle (endangered!), All three types of Caimans, Smokey jungle frogs and Toucans, amongst lots of other highlights!
All the staff were polite and charming, and made me feel welcome. I really enjoyed the varied itinerary. The nature in the Amazon is well hidden, and I’d strongly recommend bringing a camera with a great zoom or binoculars!
The sound of the rainforest was incredible. We were fortunate enough to experience a tropical lightning storm which gave flashing glorious colours in the night sky, as well as amazing perfect unpolluted starry skies.
I was sharing a 3 bed room with another female solo traveller and the beds were comfortable with good mosquito nets.
I am gluten free and felt very well looked after. The food was great.”

“Our three day, two night Cuyabeno experience was nothing short of phenomenal! From the minute we arrived in Cuyabeno we were expertly guided through the jungle by Gilver. He was incredibly knowledgeable and seemingly pulled animals out of nowhere all day.
Whether we were on the motorboat, paddling the canoe or walking through the thick jungle, Gilver kept the group interested and made sure everyone was having a great time. The lodge itself was well beyond expectations with a comfortable bed, great shower and simple but delicious food.
Couldn’t recommend this experience more!”
